KOLONNA HOTEL RIGA

     Tirgoņu (Merchants) Street – as one of the most important streets in Riga was mentioned already in the 13th century. First information about buildings on this street was found in the documents from the 14th century when German merchants" built here close to the Dom Square living houses. Over the years plenty reconstructions were made there, the most important in the seventies and eighties of the 18th century.
     A style of houses was changed significant; instead of renaissance elements of facade got more classicism features.
     2004 Kolonna Ltd. purchased buildings on Tirgoņu Street 9. During reconstruction a central facade got her former outlook, but inside was completely adapted to a hotel.
     Kolonna Hotel Riga was the first Hotel in Kolonna Hotels Group and it was opened on June 2nd 2005.
